1. Who We Are
Fantasy Awards is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom. Throughout this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator of Fantasy Awards.

For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@fantasyawards.app.

Cookies and similar technologies (website only)
Our website uses cookies and local storage set by PostHog (analytics) and Google Analytics. These help us understand how visitors use the site. They are not used to identify you personally across other websites.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Providing the Service — your account, ballot, leagues, and leaderboards
- Sending push notifications you have opted into
- Analysing usage to improve the app and fix bugs
- Monitoring errors and maintaining stability (via crash reports)
- Detecting and preventing fraud or abuse
4. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the Service (account creation, ballot, leagues)
- Consent — push notifications (you grant permission via your device) and website cookies
- Legitimate interest — analytics to improve the app, error tracking to maintain stability, and fraud prevention. We balance these interests against your rights and do not use data in ways you would not reasonably expect.
You can withdraw consent at any time — see “Your Rights” below.
5. How We Share Your Information
With other users
Your username, picks, and scores are visible to other members of leagues you join. Aggregated prediction percentages are shown publicly but do not identify individuals.
With third-party service providers
We use the following services to operate Fantasy Awards:
- Supabase — authentication and database (hosted on AWS)
- PostHog — product analytics (EU-hosted instance)
- Sentry — error and crash monitoring
- Google Analytics — website analytics (website only)
- Expo — push notification delivery
- Apple / Google — authentication via Sign-In
- Vercel — website hosting
Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share data with advertisers.
6. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States (where some of our service providers are based). PostHog data is hosted in the EU.
Where data is transferred outside the UK or EU/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
7. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months
- Crash and error data is retained for up to 90 days
- If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days
- Anonymous accounts with no activity may be purged after 6 months
8. Your Rights
EU, EEA, and UK users (GDPR / UK DPA 2018)
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, this is the ICO at ico.org.uk)
California users (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share your data
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@fantasyawards.app. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Account Deletion
You can delete your account from the Profile tab in the app, or by emailing us. When you delete your account:
- Your profile, picks, and league memberships are permanently removed
- Your data is deleted from our systems within 30 days
- Aggregated, anonymised data (e.g. prediction percentages) may be retained
10. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication (OAuth 2.0), and database-level access controls (Row Level Security). However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Fantasy Awards is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. In jurisdictions where the age of digital consent is higher (such as 16 in some EU member states), users must meet that age requirement. If we learn that we have collected data from a child below the applicable age, we will delete it promptly.
12. Push Notifications
We send push notifications only if you grant permission through your device's operating system. You can disable them at any time in your device settings. We use Expo Push to deliver notifications; your push token is stored securely and used solely for this purpose.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
14. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at hello@fantasyawards.app.
