Terms of Service

Welcome to Fantasy Awards. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Fantasy Awards mobile application and website at fantasyawards.app (together, the “Service”).

The Service is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fantasy Awards. In jurisdictions where the age of digital consent is higher (such as 16 in some EU member states), you must meet that age requirement.

If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

Fantasy Awards is a free prediction game for entertainment purposes. You can:

• Make predictions for award ceremony categories (e.g. Best Picture, Best Director)
• Create or join leagues and compete with friends
• View live leaderboards and scores during award ceremonies
• Receive push notifications about league activity and results

Fantasy Awards does not involve gambling, real money, or prizes of any kind. It is purely a prediction game for entertainment.

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

You can create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email and password. You may also use the app anonymously with limited features.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You may only create one account per person
• You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app, or by emailing us
• Anonymous accounts with no activity may be removed after a period of inactivity

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use offensive, abusive, or hateful usernames or display names
• Impersonate other users or public figures
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage
• Attempt to manipulate leaderboards, scores, or predictions
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service
• Share invite codes commercially or distribute them in bulk
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose

We reserve the right to remove usernames, suspend accounts, or take other action if you violate these rules — with or without notice.

Our intellectual property

The Fantasy Awards app, website, branding, design, and original content are owned by the operator. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of the Service.

Your content

By using the Service, you grant us a licence to display your username, picks, and scores within the app (for leaderboards, leagues, and related features). You retain ownership of any original content you provide.

Third-party content

Nominee names, film titles, and award category names are the property of their respective rights holders. See the Trademark Disclaimer below.

Fantasy Awards is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), the Recording Academy, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, or any other award-granting organisation.

“Oscar”, “Academy Awards”, “Emmy”, “BAFTA”, “Grammy”, “Golden Globe”, and all related names and marks are registered trademarks of their respective owners. They are used here solely for identification and informational purposes under nominative fair use. No endorsement or sponsorship is implied.

Fantasy Awards is an independent prediction game. Nominee and winner information is sourced from publicly available announcements. The Service has no influence on actual award outcomes.

The Service relies on third-party providers including Supabase (database and authentication), Expo (push notifications), Sentry (error tracking), PostHog (analytics), Apple, Google, and Vercel. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

If you enable push notifications, we may send you updates about league activity, award ceremony results, and service announcements. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. We are under no obligation to send notifications.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
• Prediction data, scores, or leaderboards will be accurate
• Nominee or winner information will be correct or up to date
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Fantasy Awards shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of enjoyment, or any other intangible losses.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed £100 (GBP).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Fantasy Awards from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

• You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab or by emailing us
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice
• Upon termination, your picks, league memberships, and profile data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Trademark Disclaimer) will continue to apply

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU or EEA, you retain any mandatory consumer protections afforded by the law of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms restricts your right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

• If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect
• These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the Service
• Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right
• We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without notice
